Eggs

Food from the big girls

We keep about 25 standard sized hens for eggs. There

are two boys that help protect the flock, Uno, a black copper marans, and

Herb, a tolbunt polish. We sell our eggs when we have a

surplus, but we don't hatch them. I can't even imagine how weird

and crazy those babies would look. When available, they are $5 a dozen.

Sometimes we will have button quail eggs, but not very often. They

come from a friends farm and she keeps a tiny flock of them.
